PRACTICAL 3

In the practical 3,we have learnt about the cardboard journey which is one type of the proyotyping.In this practical ,we just learnt about the basic techniques first of cutting cardboard and design it in different shape.For example,flanges,slotting,slots and tabs ,gusset,hole-punch, scoring,bending ,creasing and some other knowledge that we can learn in this practical.



After watching the video on how cardboard joinery worked that have uploaded on blackboard learning, we followed some of the examples given to us to get a feel of how to join cardboard through practice like slots and scoring, we then made a plane using what we learnt from the video and the examples given. Doing this helped us understand how cardboard joinery worked and how it is important in prototyping.The picture below shows the process what have we work together as a team.


There are the product we have done in  the practical.


We also required to design the extra cardboard product which we think ourselves and it is different for each group .Therefore,our group have the idea to design an aeroplane that shown in the picture below.Is it mighty?


After complete this in the lesson,we have asked for doing a unicorn which also made of cardboard.

The picture above shows the unicorn we make ,we just use the technique of inserting the end of both sides wings to the two holes on the body part,and we use a rubber band to make it can work naturally such like waving wings

  Activity 2 1.Construct a product life cycle of your chemical product. Fossil fuel extraction-plastic manufactured-using-plastic bottle disposed of after using-recycling/ends up its life cycle on ground or ocean when it has not any use. 2.Provide an explanation for each life cycle stage on the completed diagram. Activity 3 Integrate any two C2C design strategies into your chemical product and update the product life cycle diagram. the plastic can mix with other elements so it will break down easily so that can  make the new plastic as to reduce the waste of fossil fuel which is unrenewable resource. The plastic can be designed with high durable so that it can be reuse or recycle.Therefore,user will not throw it easily due to broken of plastic.
