WEEK 1

Discussing project work together Sharing common interests Talking to deepen bond between team members. Activity 1: Category: Transportation Sub-category: Automobile In a car engine, fuel mixes with oxygen and combusts(batch reaction), producing CO2, CO, H2O, etc. During the intake stroke, valves open to allow the piston to draw oxygen into the engine's intake system. The valves then close and the piston compresses the intake charge (compression). The spark plug then ignites the air and fuel(combustion), the resulting force of the hot gases pushes the piston down and powers the car. Thereafter, the exhaust valves open to allow the combustion gases to escape and the exhaust valves close again. Finally, the process restarts.

Activity 2 1.Construct a product life cycle of your chemical product. Fossil fuel extraction-plastic manufactured-using-plastic bottle disposed of after using-recycling/ends up its life cycle on ground or ocean when it has not any use. 2.Provide an explanation for each life cycle stage on the completed diagram. Activity 3 Integrate any two C2C design strategies into your chemical product and update the product life cycle diagram. the plastic can mix with other elements so it will break down easily so that can make the new plastic as to reduce the waste of fossil fuel which is unrenewable resource. The plastic can be designed with high durable so that it can be reuse or recycle.Therefore,user will not throw it easily due to broken of plastic.

CP5065 Introduction to Chemical Product Design Practical 2 – Air Lift Pump Challenge Due to the resurgence of COVID-19 in Singapore, the originally planned air-lift pump challenge has to be changed. This practical has to be carried out at the home of one of the team members. For this hands-on activity, the roles and responsibilities of each member must be designed and listed down.
